Preparing the Satay

Yesterday evening I prepared the marinaded chicken and beef skewers which took about an hour. This let all the spices soak in overnight to flavour and tenderise the meat. I realised I'd forgotten to buy any rice or prawns so we'll be slumming it with chicken and beef satay without the ricecakes! This morning I made the satay sauce which took just over half an hour.

Basically I halved the recipe from the Malaysian Satay Lunch menu plan. So far, I've done all the preparation so I'll pop up some photos once they're all cooked.
